In July 2025, Julia Sansone—entrepreneur, lifelong musician, and founder of Central Virginia’s largest music academy—became the sole owner of Running Latte. After building Allegro Music School into a thriving community of 250 students, 20+ teachers, and 3 locations, Julia brought her business acumen and love of coffee to Roanoke’s favorite double-sided drive-thru.

Here, passion for people meets a dedication to quality.

From hand-crafted espresso to frappes and smoothies made with all-natural ingredients, every drink is made to fuel your journey. We proudly use 1883 all-natural syrups, free of artificial flavors and full of real fruit and cane sugar goodness—so you can sip clean, bold, and delicious.

For Julia and her husband, Matthew, life has always moved to a rhythm. Their tradition of alphabetically traveling the world each Valentine’s Day—from Amsterdam to Florence, Galway to the Grand Canyon—has inspired more than 150 journeys. And at the center of every memory? Good music and exceptional coffee.

Now that spirit of exploration lives right here in the Roanoke Valley.
